What is Chlorantraniliprole?
Chlorantraniliprole is an anthranilic diamide insecticide and agonist of ryanodine receptors located on the sarcoplasmic reticulum in muscle and endoplasmic reticulum in non-muscle cells.
Features of Chlorantraniliprole
Chlorantraniprole is a broad-spectrum insecticide. It has a low aqueous solubility and a low volatility. It tends to be highly persistent in the environment. It is highly toxic to aquatic invertebrates, moderately toxic to birds and aquatic plants, and has a low toxicity to vbees and earthworms.
Applications of Chlorantraniprole
Biochemistry Acts by stimulating the release of g-aminobutyric acid, an inhibitory neurotransmitter, thus causing paralysis. Mode of action non-systemic insecticide which penetrates leaf tissues by translaminar movement. Paralyses the lepidoptera, which stop feeding within hours of ingestion, and die 2-4 dat.
